daring rem in nigeria:
while charlie koolhaas is begging her dad to stay in the car in order not to get killed, rem responds "don't be ridiculous! in the name of science" and clicks the button!

for those who do not know: madelon is the wife of rem and mother of charlie. more info about the two women below:


*Madelon Vriesendorp is a co-founder of OMA and has worked in many different kinds of visual and spatial expression. She has exhibited paintings at the New York Guggenheim and Max Protatch galleries, at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Stedelijk in Amsterdam, Berlin's Aedes Gallery, and the Gallery Ma in Tokyo. Over the last ten years she has worked in collaboration with Charles Jencks, producing drawings and models to accompany many of his publications, and with her daughter Charlie on several books and art projects. Madelon's recent work has included illustrations, costumes, built objects, paintings, and short stories, and has been the subject of recent exhibitions in London, Berlin and the Venice Biennale.

Charlie Koolhaas is a photographer, digital installation artist, and journalist. She helped co-found UNIT Live, an open project journal for Chinese and Western cultural fusion, and has published in Tank as well as many other art and culture magazines. She co-curated the Shenzhen Biennale in 2007.
