This edible sculpture is made out of green tea, and it is part of a (new) body of work which is about home. This piece honors my Japanese roommates and friends. It is about respect, humbleness, and rituals. When I was first introduced to green tea, it was offered to me together with desserts. As a dessert lover I showed interest only in the sweets. It took me some time to realize why my behavior was offensive, but since then I drink green tea every single day.
