is this a sculpture? an installation? a temporary storage of timber (timber-yard)?

the photos have been taken at millenium park, a "postmodern park" as alexis stamatis describes it in his new road-trip book.
[it is definitely a very well designed park- public place that everybody is happy about!]

the space is on a promenade between gardens if i can recall...
i always thought it's urban furniture.
i used the benches to take a break one day that i was biking.
i did not use the screen [?] though, so you might be right: it could be sculpture garden or it could be there to create some privacy?
i don't think its temporary though.
now that i am thinking about it...i can't remember seeing anybody sitting on them ;]

I like that the design is quite minimal and I suppose also the rest of the park's objects are interesting.
