h e e s e again!
i could see this building from far away [marina towers bridge in Dearborn] and i was always intrigued by it! only couple of weeks earlier i found out that is a renovation/ conversion to appartmentss [i think] by harry weese on an old building. i don't have enough information about it, but i think its worth posting it.

which museum? in chicago?
maybe you know this already but the building, as part of the old industrial area along the north branch of the river, was used as a huge refrigerator before being abandoned and recently converted to apartments. it had no windows at all! they were all pounched in during the conversion works! you can tell it was a refrigerator looking at the very thick wall where they pouched the balconies.
yes you are right: it was a refrigerator!
