dan kiley found the recipe for a great urban garden.

its elements [some described by jane amidon]:

silver granite planters
hawthorns
orange gravel
+
interplay of light and shadow [i need to post a video]
scale
strict geometry [base] vs web of branches [top]
walk in the woods feeling

1st photo [a homeless guy taking a nap- you can hardly see him or identify his situation!] and last one [all the employees from michigan avenue] enjoying lunch break are totally describing the atmosphere of the garden.

check a spring post regarding this garden.
