I don't like the exterior views of ICA (in a previous post).
But this media room is very beautiful! Also the form/details of the stairs, and the other interior views of ica's building.
Very nice pictures.
Very interesting blog.
Keep posting!

this building has definitely front and back facades/ perspective views.
unfortunately most of the photos can not capture the main one. i guess it is for the canoes or other vessels.

there are couple of things i did like regarding the exterior.
1. the use of the wood.
i think its a great contextual gesture. its expanding from the ground to the elevation to the under side of the cantilever.
2. the expression of the beams behind the glass.
3. although i am not impressed by the cliche folding happening only in the outer part of the building, i have to admit its very well constructed as you can see in the detail photos: how materials come together.
i agree with you though the interiors are "all the money" of ica. too bad i haven't seen the auditorium. it must be also very nice spatially.
in a video i had the chance to see in the beautiful media room, the architects [diller&scoffidio + renfro] are showing [besides dozens of models about investigation of form] one "propaganda" model to inspire people in the office to think towards the views to the sea.
diller&scoffidio +renfro are somehow claiming to merge art with architecture. this fusion between the two was sthg i could feel while descending through this beautiful back staircase.
you , as an artist, how do you feel about it?
