the place

apostolos kalfopoulos is very good at picking atmospheric abandon buildings hidden usually in the thessaloniki port and making cool exhibitions out of them.
it looks that this ice-chamber building suits perfect to the exhibition that is [finally] consisted by 20 participants [10 architects+ 10 artists [instead of 8+8 that i wrote before] that are working on 10 heterotopias, 5 positive[?]: garden, gym, hamam, resort, school and 5 negative[?]: cemetary, prison, house of prostitution, camp, hospital... i am not so sure which are the positive and which are the negative or if there are these two types, but i am definitely working on a positive one, the garden["kipos"]. =]
in the first photo you can see part of the corridor that leads to the doors of the heterotopias.
if you want to prepare for the exhibition you can read [if you haven't done so] the very interesting text of foucault here, although the english translation sucks... for those you can speak french, you should try the french one... i did not... =]
the second photo is taken under inside the room [under my installation] that i am exhibiting my heterotopia together with eleni kamma who is a nominee for this year’s DESTE prize.

Destroy Engine
all information will be mutated
all information will implode
all information will lead to other information will lead to other information to an endless meaningless cycle of information that will lead to_nothing/nowhere/no-knowledge

not in-formation
but
non-formation

i am very intrigued by the idea of muted information.

they are not only a blog as far as i can understand... personally i like the abstract idea behind the title "the erasers". could be my limited understanding =] or could be my desire to relate it to my own thoughts. hopefully the erasers are not offended!
