modern

yesterday i was in a lecture in archeworks by the favorite ex professor from i i t : annie pedret.
the lecture was part of a lectures series about the ethics of design.
annie pedret talks often about modern- modernity- modernisme [not so much in this lecture though].
so i rememberd a quote i read this weekend in some newspaper snippings that were sent to me by the author of 100.
i will try to translate it:

"i name modern whatever cuts my breath and old whatever offers me breath"
by florence delay
.
